Here's a really good reason to read it

In response to Jane Austen's biography, written by Gisele on January 24, 1998 at 14:59:57

I have just go this book, in preparation for our group read, and have read...the first chapter!(and flipped through a few other bits) All I can say so far is that it's the nicest biography of hers that I have tackled......easier to read than the La Faye one, much more realistic than the Park Honan one (I can tell that after one chapter? Sure!) and more revealing than the Austen-Leigh one, which was nice, but didn't include a lot of things.

I am already delighted with it.

So, yes, yes, get it. Get it from Bookserve, too, as it will earn Pemberley a tiny bit of a commission!
