How exquisite! It will be a challenge for me to find period attire since I am new to the world of Miss Austen. Further, we have no place in or near Charlotte so romantic as the site that you describe, Ma'am. Like many other Southern families, hers is "old." There is a town in South Carolina named for them. Site of a Revolutionaryt War battle, it is today a public place. My plan is to get access to the home when it is "closed"; to take her there on Valentine's Day; and to ask for her hand on bended knee. I believe she is likely to accept but cannot be sure. Wish me well. I will post an update!
