Jane Austen's biography

Has anyone read _Jane Austen A Life_ , by Claire Tomalin? I've just heard about this book, but would like to know your expert views on it. I wouldn't like to spend nearly 30 on a book that is no good... At the same time, I love reading biographies, and would certainly love to read more about the life of my favorite author.
