] I think that the ancestral home would be a wonderfully romantic place to propose, also, however, now that we know that Mr. Daugherty is in North Carolina what about those beautiful pine forests? I have always been partial to pine forests. But then, of course, on second thought, there is the question of the pine needles! The scent of pines is so refreshing, though. I am glad you asked us for our opinions, Mr. daugherty. It is reassuring to know that the spirit of romance is alive and well and it is particularly nice to see a man taking care and consideration in such a matter. One of the reasons I married Tim is because he has a healthy romantic streak. It was encouraging to find a man whose major interest was not 'action movies' or some other violent entertainment. I think a return to romantic ways would put more of a focus on manners and respect. I wish you and your intended every happiness.
Honoured to remain, &c.
Marie Bernadette
