Thanks Jessamyn for the lovely compliments.

The Evening with Jane Austen started at 2:00, with tea and discussion on ladies' propriety in the Regency Era. After that we adjourned for dancing lessons, in two groups, one for those who had attended the pre-event classes, another for those of the left of foot. Dinner followed the lessons, then dancing started at eight with a live quintet.
For those of you who are still drooling over the pictures, let me know via email which ones you would especially like to see in larger format, and I will post them. Lazy me didn't want to post all of the big ones. Plus my digital camera didn't do as good of a job as I would have liked in the dim light of the hall (no flash.) Some of the larger ones lose detail and clarity.
We are really lucky in Southern California to have a lot of dedicated costumers and recreators and living historians. Plus all the people who work in the movie industry. There is A LOT of crossover between eras. Lots of familiar faces at the various Regency, Dickens, Renaissance, Colonial, Old California, and Victory Swing events. If you are interested in costuming, it's a hotbed here.

I have included a clearinghouse regency page with some of the pages that I have made.
