I've never heard of this... and I doubt they took tea from a dish. Perhaps it is just a play on words, dish just a slang way of saying a cup of tea? I haven't read "The Watsons," are you certain they are refering to tea? (sorry, I guess you would know that!) What I mean is... a dish of tea might mean gossip? I'll go bury my head now before Caroline reads this!
