It's called "A Midwife's Tale", the story of Martha Ballard...a dramatization of Ballard's diary (1785-1812) which became the basis of a Pullitzer Prize-winning book by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich.

Inko, I just happened upon this program tonight and I loved it! Very powerful and moving, but matter of fact in the telling. First thing I thought was how the Pemberleans might find it intriguing.

I plan to be reading this book as soon as I can get my hands on it!
