In response to Ms. Bronte apparently had never read P&P, written by Patrick on January 15, 1998 at 17:12:47

All "sense" (or "head", or "pragmatism", or what you will) : Mr. Bennet, Mary, Charlotte, Mr. Collins, Lady Catherine, Miss Bingley

All "sensibility" (or "heart", or "instinct", or what you will) : Mrs. Bennet, Lydia, Kitty, Wickham

VERY close to balanced, but sometimes too much "sensibility" : Jane, Bingley, Georgianna perhaps, perhaps even Elizabeth (at the beginning of the novel)

VERY close to balanced, but sometimes too much "sense" : Darcy (at the beginning of the novel)

Perfectly balanced : Elizabeth and Darcy (at the end of the novel)*, the Gardiners

Michele

*and even when one tips the scales after their marriage (probably E. for "heart", D. for "head"), they will serve to balance each other.
