I am certain this is not a lady-like question, but...

Does anyone know the etiquette for excusing oneself in company to use the "lady's room"? If there wasn't one per se, how does one say to, perhaps, Lady Catherine de Burgh, or even a Miss Dashwood, "I'm sorry but I've really gotta pee!"?

These are the types of questions I always find myself curious about (as I often find myself in similar predicaments), but can never find an answer in the books...
