Help - re. historic info on horse care/tack

I haven't spent much time at this particular BB, but I thought there might be someone here who could answer this question:
Can anyone recommend any web sites dealing with the history of horse equipage and handling? (Ancient times to 19th C)
I've seen the International Museum of the Horse site and some of the sites linked to it. I'm looking for images of saddles, bridles, etc. as well as information on how horses were trained and cared for in the past and how people learned to ride (formal vs. informal training, etc.) I'm more interested in riding equipment than carriage stuff, though general info on the use of horses in farm work, etc. would be interesting.
You can post here or e-mail me at the address above - whichever you think appropriate.
Thanks for your help.
