In response to More info. on this book..., written by Kali on January 13, 1998 at 03:02:29

I'm wondering if you guys could please give me the particulars

Kali,

The complete title - "Mrs. Hurst Dancing, and Other Scenes from Regency Life, 1812-1823. Published by Gollancz in 1982. ISBN 0575030356. The Regency Bookshelf has a web page - www.Mandala.net/georgian/non-fict.htm#life -- they say it is hard to find but they will try to locate a used copy for anyone since it is out of print. They ask for a 1-3 month time lag. The book is definitely worth owning but if you get desperate for a copy try some college libraries(mine has it). When you first look at the book it may look like just a picture book but it really does have good historical evidence in it if you wanted to use it for research. Gee, can you tell I'm a history major? Good luck on your search. Let me know how it goes.

Patty
