] I remember in the fifties and sixties that middle- and upper-class women had standing appointments at hairdressers each week and the do would last all week. Missing your appointment or losing a coveted Friday or Saturday slot was a near-tragedy!
LOL! My mother and grandmother still go to their salons each week.
