There is an oldfashioned Swedish word for this toy ='topp'! Nowadays it is called 'snurra'!
One of the reasons I love shopping in IKEA is that the names they give everything are so intruiging! They were selling a 'snurra' a few seasons ago, and it was a top.All part of the magic and mystery of langauge!
