] I have just purchased two empire waisted dresses. And they are beautiful. I find it easier if one is small busted as it tends to give you a little more of a lift. I'm fairly thin 5'6" 117lbs.

] I used to have a modern version of the dress all in black, but much shorter in length than the original design.

] I have never seen empire style dresses, or at least their modernized counterparts...do you know or does anyone know where I can get them in the US?

Make your own! If you're just looking for the general line, there are patterns in all the major pattern catalogs this summer. I think it's related to the rise in popularity of pretty, feminine sundresses.

If you want to make a "real" Regency gown, visit my website, Jessamyn's Regency Costume Companion. You may want to go there just to look, too--lots of images and information.

By the way, cool bulletin board!
