Hi,
I am not sure how relevent this is to this board
but I have been reading the posts on music from the per-
iod and I just want to let you know that last week on our
local PBS station I watched the series "Liberty!:The Ameri-
can Revolution".I enjoyed it very much especially the music.
I was able to purchase a copy of the soundtrack recording on
Friday last.I do not know how many Pemberleans are familiar
with Mark O'Connor but he produced and put together this re-
cording.Except for three pieces that were composed especial-
ly for the program, most of the music is period. Two were act-
ually composed in the eighteenth century and the composers
were listed:Andrew Law,and William Shields. The rest of the
recording is made up of traditional music.I really enjoyed
this recording.
Thanks lots,
Mary Collette List
