I've been reading a few posts lately asking about Regency music. Last year I came across a CD entitled "The World Turned Upside-down" by Barry Phillips, under the Gourd Music label (www.gourd.com). This is a collection of dance music, reels, and traditional music (from around the Revolutionary war and slightly after, American and English) It resembles very much the music used in some of the latest Austen films. It is all instrumental and beautifully done! I love it and listen to it all the time.
You might give it a try.
