Dear Helen:

I am a new reader to this page who collects regency reference material. Earlier this year I stumbled upon and immediately purchased a copy of Pleasures of the Imagination (in Gatwick Airport of all places.) Despite the fact that much of it is pre-regency, I have found it invaluable in my work.

You are right. This work is highly accurate, and the best quick reference source I have seen for period art and literature. If anyone has questions about the book's specific content, I would be happy to field them.

Thanks.
