Amy,I know this is still not relevent to this board
but I do not know how to send this over to the Ramble
board.Westphalia is on the western edge of Clinton Coun-
ty right on the line with Ionia.In fact when my mother and
I drive up we usually take what I call the scenic route
old U.S.Route 27 which takes us through tiny towns to Port-
land,which is the nearest town to Westphalia in Ionia Coun-
ty.Westphalia is very tiny and very German and Catholic.I
do not just what the percentage is today but in my mother's
day and age it was 99 and 44/100% if not 100% German and
Catholic.If you encountered any Thelens or Rademachers when
you were growing up they probably came from Westphalia and
were probably related to me.I noticed that you are from
Mt.Pleasant even though I am not a football fan I am aware
of the rivalry between one of the major institutes of high-
er learning in my hometown and the major institute of higher
learning in your hometown.I know that since we have common
ground in our love of Jane Austen we can forget silly things
like that.
