Mary, does the article give a reference source or a date for these recipes?

And just for the record, when it says "confectioner's sugar", I take it means the American sense, i.e., sugar powdered finely enough to use for frosting, and not in the British sense which means very coarse-grained sugar, the like of which is used for Bath Buns?
