Hi,
I thought I would post one more receipt from the
article in The Regency Plume. From the way this is put
together and served,I think this would look lovely on
any holiday dessert table despite the name.
Whim-Wham
1 1/2cups thick cream 6 lady fingers,thinly sliced
2Tbls white wine 2Tbls confectioners sugar
1/2 cup currant jelly peel of 1 lemon
1/4 cup candied orange peel
Mix the cream, wine, sugar and lemon peel in a chilled
bowl, and whip until stiff.Spoon layers of whipped cream, bis
cuits and jam alternately in a glass or crystal bowl, ending
with a layer of cream.Sprinkle the finely chopped candied
orange peel on top.Chill overnight, and serve.
This almost sounds like a Trifle except you are using
Syllabub cream instead custard.
Thanks and happy cooking,
