price of silk/yd in 1816

I'm writing an historical novel set in Amherstburg ontario in 1816.
Does anyone happen to know what the price of silk would be at that time. I know
it would be hard to obtain because of the war years but my
shopkeeper just happens to have some from before the war.
Also, any other prices of goods in Canada or England 1800-1825.
Does anyone know about how birthdays were celebrated at that
time and place? I will be exceedingly grateful for any information supplied.
