These five positions pictured are almost exactly like the five positions in ballet. In the third, only the ankles are together, and in fifth, the whole foot is.
My wonderful husband does not count a fondness for dancing among his interests. We tried to take a couple dance lessons, but I have a hard time letting him lead, and he hasn't practiced enough to really know what he is doing. It's hard for me, when I pick dance steps up so easily (my 15 years of ballet sure come in handy!), to be patient with him, as he learns more slowly than I do. I wish we had the money to take more lessons.
