] Don't forget about Mrs. Bennet's remarks about "what you tell us about long sleeves." 1799 and 1805 fashions wouldn't have prompted that remark, but 1811 is quite plausible. (Sadly, the costume designer seems to have ignored this, as everyone appears in long sleeves from the beginning!)


Chapman also deals with Easter. It seems to occur just over 3 weeks after Lizzy comes Hunsford. Easter occurred on March 29 in 1812, and this fits well. In 1805 and 06 it occured at least a week later: April 14 and 6 respectively. This would possible put it out of reach of the story.
