What's that on their belts?

I've been watching P&P2 recently, and I've noticed that the men have some little things at their belts. It's like . . . a little round thing attached to a band. What is it? The only thing I could guess would be a watch, but I doubt it. I have no other clue, and I wonder very much (at it). Anyone have ideas?
