I believe that the Complete Servant was used as a bible for the production of P&P2. P&P2 Researcher Clare Elliot: "I discovered an excellent book at the London Library published in 1825: The Complete Servant, written by Samuel and Sarah Adams, whose own credentials were 'Fifty Years Service in Different Families'. Written for prospecctive servants, it outlined what tasks were performed by everyone in the household."
