] I just wanted to say, that you shouldn't despair if you have short hair. There are accounts of women with short hair- it was bit of a novelty, and caused much comment, but it did exist. There are also accounts of fake hair, wigs and hairpieces being sold at this time. The book "Hats" by Hilda Amphlett has some details. It's in my library, I'll see if I can get the info this week. (Unfortunately, I still have no access to a scanner, or the ability to create a web-page..)

I think I've got some great ideas (or germs) to go with. Thanks, Caroline and everybody for the comments. Oh! And I don't want to forget thanking Jessamyn for the great page - very nice!
Caroline, I think your posting that KB photo helped me to see that it could be very possible. We'll see what we get at Christmastime, with her dress-up do, and then by Easter, those bangs ought to be well-grown-out. I think we'll be in business whether they'll be long enough to pull back or not. At any rate, I'll see about scanning a photo of what we come up with.
