Ugh, the very reason I haven't watched Emma1 yet. One look at Greer Garson on the box cover dressed as an ante-bellum American southern belle made me giggle.

]Even the educated people at Victoria Magazine probably hadn't ever researched anything before 1835..

That makes sense since the Victorian Era started in 1837, but it also makes it more puzzling for them to include a feature on (supposedly)Austen fashions. If they are going to focus on the Victorian Era, they should perhaps make sure they exclude pre-Victorian issues, else sharp-eyed readers will call them on it. :)
