No, let's keep it here, Ramble gets so busy, and Joan has her work cut out to keep it straight....

I cannot claim to have seen our white lady, though there were a couple of kids who swore blind that they had.One of the reasons why I brought up the subject was that I never managed to work out if our childish belief was a creation of the novel , or whether there was a ghost that inspired Mr Collins. The work I did for the historical society wasn't very "highbrow"- one vacation was spent cataloguing old photos with someone who actually knew what they were doing.He was convinced that the ghost existed, but hadn't any proof.
However, I had better take a stand here,and say that I am not totally against the idea of the existence of ghosts...It was a bit weird reading the book, and imagining "our" lake, park and house as the story. You have inspired me to get it out of the Library.......
