I finally looked up the reference and it is similar. I must say all I could think of was how much those outdated, dark old furnishings would be worth today! To be outmoded in the mid-19th century they must have been 17th or 18th century. One gloomy old chest and my kids would have a good start on a college education! Of course, the Thornfield ones would be a bit singed...
