Sara asks:
: Has anyone noticed --- in part 3 when Lizzie and Jane are talking in the bedroom about Lydia - the scene starts in the bedroom (Jane's?), Lizzie reads the letter Lydia left for Mrs. Forrester and the scene turns into Lydia talking and explaining her elopement with Wickam. When it resumes in the Bennett house, Lizzie and Jane are in the sitting room downstairs.
Actually, it is the same room the whole time, and not a bedroom. The same
round table with an orangish table cloth is there throughout, and the large desk that is behind L & J when they both sit down together. It's just that
when it cuts back to the room after the Lydia segment the camera angle is 90 degrees to the left of what it was before - with the round table at the center back instead of the right edge.
However, there *is* a fairly obvious continuity error in the scene in Jane's bedroom in which Lizzie is telling Jane about Darcy's (first) proposal. Toward the end of the scene the camera angle cuts back and forth several times between looking at Jane over Lizzie's shoulder to looking at Lizzie over Jane's shoulder, and every time we are looking at Lizzie, Jane's hands are clasped around her knee amd Lizzie is gesturing with her hands, but when we are looking at Jane, L & J are holding each others' hands.

About the first evening Lizzie spends at Netherfield during Jane's illness?
It is not an error, but I always feel unsure about where everybody is in the drawing room. Let's say you are seeing the scene from Lizzie's POV. (I don't know about any of you, but that's the way I imagine everybody views the whole story; the screenwriter of this adaptation put in a little Darcy perspective, as it mentions in the Making of P&P book.)
I haven't reviewed this, doing it from memory. Actually I haven't watched it in 3 weeks. Fancy that.
So there you are reading. You look up, mostly straight ahead, maybe a little to your left and see the card table. (Mrs Hurst has to twist a bit to her left to speak to you). With me so far?
Now, Caroline addresses Darcy, turning her head sharply to the left to ask him what he does so secretly. But when we see Darcy, he is seated at the secretary facing screen right. It always feel to me as if Caroline should have looked to her right to speak to him. Or, that he should have been facing screen left. No? Does anybody else feel dizzy or uncertain in this scene?

Table tags work, but careful of any extraneous returns. The script will interpret them as a paragraph end and mess up your table.
By the way, if anyone ever wants to have me remove a message that you wish you had not sent for whatever reason, let me know and I will try to take it off at once, and I will not make any judgements about your desire to remove it.

re Darcy evolving to N
and Joan nailed it
>: So would I, but I think that comes in the sequel
Right. He wasn't there at the end of the book but had the potential. Austen always seemed to think a husband or wife could alter a partner's deficiency. I am not so sure about that.
re: Darcy unlike us; why do we like him so?
Joan:
>: I like him very well indeed in fantasy, but I'm not sure that I could stand to live with him in reality. ;-)
I suppose you are right. But who needs to think about that? Maybe he is one of those people you need to see infrequently to stay in love with.

I wonder what Jung was? I wonder what Jane Austen was? I know it was mentioned on AUSTEN-L but, despite Henry's assurances I still can't bring myself to that search nonsense. Anybody here from Austen-L remember what JA is off hand?

Janey wondered:
: After watching Darcy's first proposal, the wallpaper really struck me. I think it is a floral pattern, but does anyone else think it looks like little bodies with lots of arms and legs?
Cherubs?
I do love that green. I think I want it somewhere in my life.

After watching P&P for the third time last night, I suddenly thought,
"who told Darcy's aunt that he was engaged to Elizabeth". I've
read the book, too, and it doesn't mention who told her, either.
Do you think it was Darcy himself?

Yes. Lady C must have been in town when Darcy took off the day Bingley proposed.

Do any of you think P&P2 has a chance to win an Emmy Award this
Sunday Night? It's up against 'Gulliver's Travels' as best miniseries.

Not a chance! The Emmies always go to the Networks (in this case I think I think it's NBC).
Only way A&E would have a chance would be if it's only competition was from other cable originators - and if its entry was home-grown.
