I became aware of the need for a support group for P&P2 addicts from two sources: the AUSTEN-L email discusion list and personal acquaintances. Sometime in June I suggested to the list in a half-joking way that we should have a support group. So many came forward and said they needed it that I figured out a way to make a bulletin board on the web. When it came right down to doing it and not just talking about it, I asked for objections to this endeavor from the Austen list members. There has been some opposition to drawing off discussions from that list. But the jury is still out. Many of us addicts feel like the scholars on the list are rolling their eyes when we barge in with our "fanzine" posts about the production. For the time being I am not giving out this URL to the list -- not until I am sure I won't be making enemies. So, Lori and Holly? Come on. It's just us for now.

All of us know we've watched the damn thing more times than is good for us, but here's where you can admit it without shame. What is your record for the greatest number of viewings in one week? I think mine must be 3.
3x6 hours=shame
What's so funny is that many of us are the type of people who say, "I don't have time to watch TV." Well. Where is this time coming from?
