] I've been thinking about what we could read and I feel we should try Vanity Fair a try. Why? It's set during JA time but it shows a completely portion of society. Reading it will give us a bit of perspective on Georgian/Regency society. It has a strong anti-heroine and it helps fill in details of urban society.
] Just a thought,
I read that last year after reading Jane Eyre... Charlotte Bronte has a forward where she praises William Thakery... so I went out and found what he wrote and then read Vanity Fair... it didn't disapoint me :) I really liked it :) it is quiet long and boring at times(not many)... but really a very good read!! :)
