Exactly!! When I read the first chapter I was like "Oh God, another typical poor historical person book that is going to be wicked flat and depressing like 'Way Of All Flesh' " (if you've read it I pity you, if you haven't... save yourself). Once I had truely gotten into it however I couldn't put it down. I loved every page. Especially Dinah's character. Eliot seemed to know just what I feeling as I read it. From the moment both Dinah and Adam were introduced.....I knew she wasn't met for Seth and that she was perfect for Adam. I am just suprised Seth didn't put up more of a fight.....
