Yes, the movie is very touching, very gentle. Amanda Root did such a good job as Anne. You literally saw her transform and come alive by the end of the picture. And CH, as Captain Wentworth, (and I must apologize for not writing his name in full, but I always muddle the spelling), was very human, very believable. I'm so glad I watched it again!
]Watching the movie really made the book come alive for me. I didn't appreciate it nearly as much before; but when they get to FW's letter in the movie--I cried, I really did, and continue to get chills every time I read it, or think about the movie. It's great!
