I've read Possession twice and consider it one of my favorite books. (I was one of the annoying ones who lobbied hard for its inclusion) I've never set up a reading schedule, and my presence on the board is erratic (never on weekends; I'm online at work) but I'd be willing to help. Please post back if any of this is helpful.

PS: I DID skim a lot of the poetry...
PPS: Cassia also pushed for Possession, and may be a good source as well.
