Look, I gather I'm in the minority here, but I think it is definitely worth watching. The costumes are most awfully 1970, especially Anne's (which is funny really because they probably did that on purpose to make her seem more sympathetic to a 1970's audience - the other characters' gear is not nearly so bad). I like the gentle way Anne is portrayed, Cpt Wentworth is not so droolworthy as CH but he does a nice job and there are some good moments between them. It's very close to the book with nothing of significance left out that I can think of. I like the AR/CH version very much but I still find this older version satisfying and I rewatch it fairly often.
