Hi,
I feel somewhat ambivalent about most of the characters in MP, including Edmund. I think what puts a lot of people off is that there seems to be an aspect of self-righteousness to his character, plus he just doesn't seem to have much charm or wit. I always loved his genuine, active, kindness toward Fanny, though. What is it that you love about him?
Anyway welcome. I am something of a newby myself.
