] Fredrica did not have to marry Sir James Martin and is fixed in the family of her Uncle & Aunt till such time as Reginald De Courcy could be talked, flattered, & finessed into an affection for her

] The Vernons and De Courcys are happy because Reginald is unencumbered and Fredrica is free of her mother.

] Reginald is currently heartbroken, but expected to recover in a Twelvemonth and gain felicity with Fredrica.

] Lady Susan is married to Sir James Martin, who is rich. Of course, she had to break off her friendship with Mrs. Johnson, but that was probably of small consequence to her. And Manwaring is still married, but that never stopped her before.

] It still seems as though Lady Susan has all she wants, even if she did not get everything her way.

I felt relief for Frederica to finally be shed of her mother's manipulations. And, yes, I think they at least had a chance to live happily ever after. Yeh!
