But things do seem to be unravelling for Lady Susan by the end of Letter 23.
What about Sir James Martin? Is this man a complete idiot? Granted, we are all well aware of Lady Susan's great persuasive powers, but to convince somone that he is in love with a girl he's hardly met and who doesn't speak a word? Sheesh! ;-p
