] I don't know that Alec really was converted. I wouldn't be at all suprised that it was all only skin deep, this is shown by his reaction when he meets Tess again.
I can't believe that Alec ever was converted. He always was slime and always will be slime. If seeing Tess could make him revert to his old ways, he couldn't have changed. I hated that character! The way he is always blaming Tess for his lack of morals and self-control!! Like when he tells her to stop looking at him because she'll "weaken" him! He is just scum to the core.
Ok, now that I got that off of my chest... :-)
