Back to the Library ] I finally got fed up when I read the back of Emma and read that she ended up marrying "her biggest critic" I was so mad I could have spit (not literally! We well-bred girls don't do that ;-) )! I was through the first 50 pages or so and had read enough to know who they meant...

Now that is bad indeed. ''Emma'' as a mystery has been discussed a lot, and I'm sorry you have missed to be led astray while seeing the world through Emmas eyes. I vividly remember the suspense and unexpected revelations when I read it for the first time and surely the SECOND reading after I knew the outcoming made me see JA's superiority as an author. I hope you never read cover blurbs now. :-(
