Back to the Library ] so far is the reddleman (I wish I remembered his name right now) in The Return to the Native... he migh be a secondary character but most of his actions are decisive to the story... I like how he tries to makes things easier for Thomasin (sp?) and the way he is determined not to let Eustacya (BTW, I wonder where he picked up those names, agh!) steal Wildeve from her.

] I think one of the reasons I didn't find TROTN depressing (even if it is gloomy) is because I disliked Eustacya very much...I felt a little pity for Cliff... but not much because he'll enjoy being a preacher; after all he needed some purpose in his life and he got one. :-)

I just saw TROFTN movie starring Katherine Zeta Jones... and I really liked it! and although I think I prefer Gabriel as Hardy's best hero.. I really thought the Reddleman the only reddeming part in TROTN, I didn't have much sympathy with Eustacya or the one guy she almost ran away with.. I pretty much found myself rooting for the Reddleman throughout the movie :) and the fact that he was played by the same cute guy who played in Twelfth Night as Sebastion.. just didn't help the matter much for the other characters! ;) hmm maybe we should have a VV of TROTN.. ;)
