Back to the Library Laurie King's mysteries, the first of which is called, "The Beekeeper's Apprentice". The premise is that Sherlock has retired to the countryside to raise bees (this was actually Doyle's idea), and meets a young woman. Adventures, capers and as you might expect, a little romance ensue.

They're certainly not near the quality of the real stories, but very fun none the less.
