Nor can I. I like both Fanny and Mary, they are both attractive in different ways and in spite of their faults. Edmund is too dull and priggish to deserve either of them but Mary probably has more chance of making him likeable than Fanny does because Fanny is too pathetically grateful to him to even imagine he needs changing. I like your idea alot - are you going to write it up and post it on Fanfic? And can Fanny have someone dashing and romantic, please? Imho, eight years at MP nannying LadyB and being bullied by Aunt Norris deserve their Captain Wentworth ;)
