In response to Is Tess too sad and depressing?, written by Constanza on September 04, 1998 at 15:58:41

Back to the Library ] Today I read the first 40 pages and I am beginning to like her. I knew things are not going to be well for her (the review in the back says that and more) and it makes me uneasy...

I'm almost finished with the book and it is a little depressing(but I haven't finished yet), but I've felt more angry than sad. With all of the tragedies that have been happening in the past month or so to depress me, I just try to remember that it is fiction which is sometimes hard to do since I like Tess, too. It is a lovely book, so I hope you try to read on!
