I was talking to a friend of mine last night who told me that he thinks all JA's book are, in essence, the same book or at least very very similar. I asked him why he thinks this, ready to defend my favourite author in any way I could and he then said:
I read Pride and Prejudice and then when I started reading Emma and got to the bit where the vicar proposes to the heroine, I thought 'this is an all too similar storyline all over again!'
To my shame I did not know how to defend JA from this charge. Can anybody else????!!!
