Actually, I see more similarity between Henry Crawfod and Lady Susan than between HC and RdeC. I did not interpret that sentence in his letter to mean that he was referring to himself as a flirt, but to LS.
So far, there has been no indication that R wants any particular attention. From his letter it seems that he has heard a lot about LS and would like to see her in action. I do not think that it occurs to him that she will try to ensnare him in her web.
