IMHO, the new BBC version is fantastic. It was really impossible for them to include and go into great depths with all the characters from the novel, but I think they have handled it really well. The book itself is wonderful, its so rich in character and very amusing. The only other Dickens I've read is Tale of Two Cities, but I loved Our Mutual Friend. Does anyone else just love the way he describes Bella's 'mysterious disappearances' with John?
