I love anything by Dickens, but "Our Mutual Friend" is my favorite. . . in fact one of my all time favorites by any author. I've already read it twice and am looking for any excuse to read it again.
] ... the BBC adaptation (I'm assuming you haven't) - it's shown in UK and Australia but not US yet. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Does anybody besides me remember the 1978 adaptation? It starred Jane Seymour as Bella and Leo McKern as Mr. Boffin. I'll die happy if I could ever see it again. However, I'm looking forward to seeing the new adaptation in January.
