These books are wonderful and I am at the very end of Book 10. They get better and better as you get deeper and deeper into the psychy of these two exciting characters. I've rarely read characters more human. The fighting scenes are spectacular. And the written book is much better unless you have trouble with your eyes. It lends you more imagination. And as far as skipping over the sailing parts, I have to confess, I did much of that, but it was because I was not familiar with the terms and ships in general. By the time I came to the third book, however, I began to read each and every word and was engrossed even in the details of the ship itself, from the sheets to the wind! It appears to be a matter of familiarity and interest. The more you are familiar with a subject, the more interested in it you will be. Oncve I manage to finish the series, I will go back and read it again, especially those parts that I likely skipped the first time.
